Inspiration for this track hit me about two years ago on a trip to Iona.
It happened quite unexpectedly, in the early morning Anglican service at Bishops House. Andrew Spurr vicar of Evesham was giving the sermon.
To be perfectly honest, this wasn’t my usual kind of heavenly watering hole.
But everything changed when “The Vic” calmly launched his lethal phrase into the congregation…
“If you’re OK then I’m Ok”
This seemingly harmless expression – flew in right under the proverbial radar – instantly detonating - like a spiritual IED …KaaaaBoom!!
Since then it’s relentlessly pestered me [in a good way] – until I had to do something about it.
One easy task was to record this ditty before you; the much harder part is to live it out.
The finer points of what this track entails, can be explored further in Isaiah 58.
Which squirmingly read like a police sergeants charge sheet, against an offender.
In this case its Gods people [in any era] especially when they knowingly don’t do the “GOOD STUFF”!!!
We need to do the GOOD STUFF more than ever
…Anytime-Everywhere…. Otherwise how can we claim to be His?
